this is a great poem that talks about keeping going don’t stop until you get where you need to be in life and how the mom is still climbing the stairs and she aint done yet. i think it is fitting that it comes from a mom because moms are very powerful in a young mans eyes they normally do all the work around the house and work all day to make sure they are where they need to be they are fed and they get a nice bed and their clothes are clean so when a mother tells her son to keep going not to stop because she hasn’t stopped it really makes the boy go if mom can do this i can. i think if it was a mother to a daughter it could work but it might not get the same message just because a boy thinks if a women can do this is defiantly can.

hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird that can not fly. i decently agree with this quote life has no meaning if someone doesn’t have a dream or a goal in life to better themselves and strive for something. most people that don’t have dreams end up living a crappy life because they don’t fight tooth and nail to accomplish something much more important in life. if you don’t have a dream you are satisfied and when you are satisfied you don’t try or work hard and working hard is one thing you need to do every day you should try to be better tomorrow then you were today. i hope people see this quote and it makes them think a little.

Missie May her ending of the story is very happy and i think it is deserved yes she did wrong but she was forgiven by joe and it is deserved the whole thing was not her fault joe did go to slimming and show her off like a prize he couldn’t have. missile may was wrong for doing what she did don’t get me wrong she deserved little bit of the punishment she got but i respect that joe forgave her at the end of the story and she was able to go on living a happy life the great thing about this story is that it shows you was forgiveness does and how holding something against someone does you no good. joe was careless with his women he treasured so dearly he probably didn’t think she would do that to him but by the same token he shouldn’t have been so obsessed with wanting more than he had.

i put i am a baseball player, i am a hard worker, i am a son. i was very shocked that my first thin is what i identify myself as not because i don’t want to be that but because thats only going to last me so long in my life but the hard worker will last me the rest of my life and should have been my first thing because that is who i am and who i want to be. being a baseball player is wonderful but it only last so long being hard working will last you until you die and most people are very lazy and don’t want to work hard at anything when i love to work hard at even the little things just so i can be theist i can be and hopefully one day it will help me get a good job and live a great life.

I feel that Granny isn’t ready for death and the author is trying to say we always feel like we have more time than we really do and the problem is we think to much and leave to much unspoken. Granny was thinking about all the bad things about the baby she lost about the man that had left her instead of thinking about the ones who loved her and were with her in her final moments. she also wasn’t thinking about god and actually wanted to remember the man that left her and the baby more than talking to god and getting right with him before she departed this world. Granny final thoughts suggest that humans always want more but never forgive others to deserve more.

frost poem the road not taken really spoke to me because many people take the path that is worn down and they can see clearly because it is the safe path but yet they don’t even think about the path that is grown up and uncertain. I am little different i like to take the untaken path because i don’t like to be a follower i also don’t like easy. the great thing about the poem is it reminded me of all the different paths i have taken and showed me how i ended up where i am today and made me think “what if i would have” it is always nice to look back and be satisfied with where you are in life. i personally feel that his work still speaks to people because it has a deep message that people look at and think dang that sounds like my life.

the music is very powerful it is loud and just hits you it is in a lot of war movies and in a lot of movies in general i don’t understand how people hate opera because for many many year opera has been around it isn’t as popular today but it is in a lot of the things we watch and a lot of music we listen to is the same just without singing. the problem is many people don’t appreciate the wonderful sounds of all the instruments and can’t grasp how powerful and moving the sounds of music can be. I feel for the aunt because a life without music would be very hard. especially when music is your life before you moved. its sad to see her so upset at just the thought of losing music again.

Robison poem richard cory really stuck out to me because that kind of stuff happens all the time and people don’t realize that someone is hurting deep down and they think the person is fine until they find out they put a bullet in their head. Richard cory like most people had a mask on and didn’t want people to see him as struggling or weak he had it in his mind that he would put on a show for the public but behind closed doors would break down until he finally lost all will to live and put  bullet in his head. this is so sad to me because taking your own life is never ok it is sad that so many people do it and don’t think about what they are doing to the people around them. i also think these poems are great for todays day and time because we still need to know that everyone struggled then and they still do today.

the most influential event had to be the war wars it didn’t just affect america it affected the entire world because the first war war was bad and it punished Germany so bad that they finally turned around and got angry. they ended up trying to take over the whole world and honestly they were far from it another battle or two won they would have taken over everyone and everywhere. they were on the path to be the next roman empire. War war two i think is what really set up america and helped them with a lot of things it made us stronger and it changed the way we looked at everything and changed the lives of everyone not just men but women and children the same no one did what they used to do because they didn’t want to and they knew that life couldn’t go back to the way it was because thats how the wars started.

the thing that really pisses me off this semester is ball practice and the whole team. we aren’t acting like a family and not playing to the best of our ability. we also talk about holding people accountable but the people that say that are the ones who mess up the most and then want to argue when they get punished and don’t do their stuff. it is just very annoying how the team can have so much talent and the possibility to be the best team in the schools history yet we have one of the worst records starting out because we don’t play as a team we don’t cheer on each other and most of all we don’t compete at a level that allows you to win. I’m just so sick of everyone saying we could or we should instead of use getting out there and getting the job done right.
